Next Upcoming Post
I have not previously posted any trülkhor (physical yoga) practices associated with the Ṣaḍaṅga Yoga tradition. My next post presents the Twelve Essential Physical Yoga Practices (Trülkhor) from the Ṣaḍaṅga Yoga tradition according to Tāranātha. The post includes the original Tibetan text together with an annotated English translation.
Several of the movements resemble well-known yoga postures such as Tolāsana, Kukkuṭāsana, Baddhapadmāsana, Dvipādaśīrṣāsana, and Mayūrāsana, although they are performed within a distinct Vajrayāna yogic context.
According to Tāranātha, these trülkhor practices were transmitted through different Indian masters, including Vibhūticandra, the Kashmiri Somanātha, and Śākyaśrī.
I hope you'll find it of interest.
